Home State Bank is excited to announce that we will begin to partner with MasterCard® as our Home State Bank check card issuer. As a valued customer, we want to continually exceed your expectations of excellent service. Your new Check Card will help you make purchases safely and conveniently with added benefits, and access to premium merchant offers and savings – whether you’re at home or traveling.


 

Home State Bank Check Card

1. Why are you replacing my existing Visa® Check Card?

We’ve partnered with MasterCard® to serve you better. Your new card will allow us to provide uninterrupted service as we work with MasterCard to enhance the benefits and services available to you as a valued Home State Bank customer.


2. Where can I use my new check card?

Your new card offers ATM access using the same PIN as before, plus acceptance for purchases at millions of locations where MasterCard is accepted, including restaurants, gas stations, doctors’ offices, department stores, home improvement stores, and online merchants.

3. Is it safe?

Yes. You’ll have Zero Liability for any unauthorized transactions, and using the card is safer than carrying a lot of cash.*

4. Will my PIN remain the same?

Yes, if you currently have a PIN assigned to your existing card, it will remain unchanged for your convenience. You can also change your PIN whenever you wish.

5. What if I have multiple accounts with check cards, will each check card be reissued?

Yes. Each personal checking account that has a check card attached to it will be reissued the new and improved Check Card.

6. Will my Home State Bank checking account number be included with my new Check Card?

No. For added security, the Home State Bank checking account number will not be printed in the mailing with your new Check Card.

7. If I receive multiple new Check Cards, how will I be able to tell which checking account is accessed by each new Check Card?

If you receive more than one new Check Card, simply call your local Home State Bank branch and a customer service representative will be able to tell you which Home State Bank checking account is tied to each new Home State Bank Check Card. This added layer of security will give you the peace of mind of knowing no one will have your confidential information. Additionally, your Personal Identification Number (PIN) will not change. Therefore, if you use the same PIN for all check cards, simply perform a Balance Inquiry at any ATM for checking account identification.

8. What do I need to do?

Start using your new card today. To activate your new Home State Bank Check Card, simply call 800.216.4223 or perform a PIN based transaction at any merchant where MasterCard is accepted or at any ATM location. Also provide your new card number to any companies that automatically bill your card.

Your old card will no longer work after March 31, 2014.

We’ve partnered with MasterCard® to serve you better. Your new card will allow us to provide uninterrupted service as we work with MasterCard to enhance the benefits and services available to you as a valued Home State Bank customer.

2. Is it safe?

Yes. You’ll have Zero Liability for any unauthorized transactions, and using the card is safer than carrying a lot of cash.*

3. Can I keep my old card instead?

No, your current Home State Bank HSA Check Card, regardless of expiration date, is being discontinued, so it will cease to function.

4. What do I need to do?

Start using your new card today. To activate your new Home State Bank HSA Card, simply call 800-588-9970. Also provide your new card number to any companies that automatically bill your card.

Your old card will no longer work after March 31, 2014.
